Nominate Someone for Leadership Nashville

We seek nominations of proven leaders from all segments of Nashville. Nominees should have a balance of:

- Proven professional executive level experience
- Significant community leadership roles and influence
- Understanding and appreciation of Nashville's priorities
- Ability to make the time commitment

We accept nominations of qualified candidates for Leadership Nashville from alumni and non-alumni alike. Each nominee will receive correspondence from Leadership Nashville in the spring with a schedule of program dates so the candidate may decide if this is a good year to apply. The Opening Retreat is mandatory. If candidates have a conflict with the Opening Retreat date, we ask that they not apply this year. These candidates may contact Leadership Nashville office to request an application for the following year.

Nominating a candidate does not guarantee admission into the program. Applying to Leadership Nashville is often a multi-year process since many exceptionally qualified people apply for a class of 46 leaders each year. The Selection Committee, made up of different alumni each year, has the difficult task of choosing a cross-section of established leaders, seeking a balanced and diverse class representing all of Nashville. Reapplying is easy and an excellent way to strengthen a candidate’s consideration each year.

The application form serves as the sole source of information used by the Selection Committee; therefore, it is necessary that the application be fully completed.
